1.Control the best time for welding
Before use automatic soldering robot have to set up the preheat time, when process different size workpiece or solder iron damaged we have to extend soldering time to make sure have a good solder spot. But in most time longer heating duration will harm workpiece or PCB. Because:
A:Solder spot`s Juncture under long time overheat easy make a performance deterioration spot.
B:PCB board or plastic base will deformation under overheat.
C:Components and parts will deformation even broken
D:Soldering spot will lose protection and oxide because scaling powder volatilize off. Summary is: make sure liquid tin attached on workpiece, soldering time the shorter the better.
2.Keep it under reasonable temperature
Some times people try using a high temperature solder iron to short the soldering time, but it bring other problems: scaling powder volatilize too fast before didn`t sheetflood over the contact layer and fail reacted; solder material melted too fast before scaling powder react; Because high temperature solder tips, even short soldering time it could damage workpiece as well.
So we got this: find out the best temperature for different workpiece. As old experience normally solder tips temperature 50°c higher than the solder material`s melting point as best choice. Under ideal state using lower temperature and shorter time to process, even this is conflict but we can try to find the best to find it out by practice.
3.How to adjust older tip into right position
When using automatic soldering machine, some operator set the solder tips in very low position try to get a accuracy location, but this was wrong, soldering machine was using the tip`s contact surface but not the top to melt the tin. When the solder tip force on the workpiece it always damage or make fail products.
